Uttarakhand / Haridwar : ‘RSS planted 220 peepal trees on Dakshadweep’

Under the aegis of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Haridwar Nagar, 220 peepal trees were planted on Dakshadweep. Trees 5 to 6 feet high have been given security by installing T-guards. Along with this, the workers of Kankhal Mandal took a pledge to protect these trees. Mahant Damodar Das Maharaj of Shri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin said that trees have special importance in the Sanatan tradition. Peepal tree is worshiped as a deity here. This deity gives us the life form of oxygen in times of crisis. The young saint Ravi Dev Shastri said that planting 5-6 feet big trees increases their chances of survival. He said that it does not take much time for big trees to become banyan trees. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s regional intellectual head Sushil Kumar said that during the Corona period, we all have faced severe shortage of oxygen. We all need to make collective efforts so that there is no shortage of oxygen in future. He said that we should plant more and more peepal and banyan plants that give oxygen and preserve them till they grow up. Lalit Narayan Mishra, Secretary, Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority said that no work can be completed without the participation of the society. He said that the tree plantation campaign that RSS has undertaken in such a big way. This will inspire the society. Appreciating this collective effort of the RSS, Municipal Commissioner Jai Bharat Singh said that along with planting trees, the resolve taken by the volunteers to protect them is inspiring. RSS’s district union driver Rohitash Kunwar said that the society is getting comfortable with its nature. He said that in view of the present circumstances every person should plant at least one tree in his life. Department campaigner Sharad Kumar said that the corona epidemic has forced every person to think that we and our future generations will have to bear the brunt of the nature being exploited due to us. Therefore, now it is necessary that every person understands his responsibility and should take care of their conservation by planting more and more trees. He said that every person must plant trees in his family at home. City Director Dr. Yatindra Nagayan informed that since last 4 weeks, the volunteers of Kankhal are buying and planting trees at their own expense. In this episode, today all the volunteers have planted 220 peepal trees in a big way. He told that after planting the trees, volunteers of Kankhal Mandal would worry for their daily care, manure and water. With mutual cooperation, 5-6 feet tall Peepal plants have been brought from Saharanpur. Along with this, a mesh guard has been installed to protect them from animals. He said that this campaign would continue during the entire rainy season. On this occasion, Vice President of Sanskrit Academy, Professor Prem Chandra Shastri, District Pracharak Amit Kumar, City Action Officer Gurmeet Singh, Co-City Action Dr. Anurag, Dr. Ratanlal, Amit Sharma, Baldev Singh Rawat, Rajesh Sharma, Anil Prajapati, Amit Tyagi, Kuldeep , Bhupendra Rawat, Praveen Sharma etc. were mainly present.
