Vaccination a hope to emerge from corona infection : PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that humanity has the best hope of vaccination to emerge as the winner against Kovid. The Prime Minister further said that since the beginning of the pandemic, India has been committed to sharing its experience, expertise, resources with the global community. Experience shows that no nation can solve the challenge of covid in isolation, we have to work together for humanity.
PM Modi said that vaccination is a hope to emerge from corona infection. We have connected the vaccination campaign through digital medium from the very beginning. We all have to move forward together. In all the countries where people have died due to corona infection, I express my condolences to all those people. No matter how strong a nation is, but it cannot face such a pandemic alone. Let us inform that experts related to health and technology representing many countries attended this Covin Conclave. Its purpose is to share India’s experience with regard to global vaccination to fight Corona through the Kovin platform. Recently, many countries have shown their interest in the CoVin technology being used in India’s vaccination campaign. Cowin is ready to share technology in India. While addressing the conclave, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan said that we are excited to give our Covin platform technology to the whole world. I hope all countries will benefit from India’s Covin platform.

Impact: Agreement between the Republic of India and Saint Vincent and The Grenadines will help in facilitating the exchange of information between the two countries including sharing of information held by the banks and other financial institutions encompassing the information regarding the legal and beneficial ownership. It will also facilitate the assistance in collection of the tax claims between the two countries. Thus, it will strengthen India's commitment to fight offshore tax evasion and tax avoidance practices leading to generation of unaccounted black money. Background: There was no such agreement with Saint Vincent and The Grenadines in the past and India was negotiating this agreement since a long time. Finally, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines agreed to conclude this agreement with India which will promote tax cooperation between the two countries through exchange of information and assistance in collection of outstanding tax claims between the two countries.
