Uttarakhand / Haridwar : BJP workers paid tribute to Dr.Shyamaprasad Mukherjee
On the birth anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, workers paid homage to him during a seminar organized at the BJP district office in Jagjitpur. Addressing the seminar, BJP District President Dr. Jaipal Singh Chouhan said that following the thoughts of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working on various projects of service across the country through the service organization. Even in a global pandemic like Corona, BJP workers, taking inspiration from the thoughts of Dr. Mukherjee, have done service work across the country to help the needy. After discussions with the Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Guru Golwalkar, he formed the Bharatiya Jana Sangh in 1951. With the connivance of Nehru and the Muslim League, there was a big nationwide movement against the move to give the whole of Bengal to Pakistan. Due to which half of Bengal remained in India. A big movement was launched under the leadership of Dr. Shyamprasad Mukherjee to abolish Article 370 and 35A, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Announced that two marks, two laws, two heads will not work in one country. Due to this, in 1953 he went to Jammu and Kashmir without taking a permit. The then Sheikh Abdullah government arrested him and placed him under house arrest. He died untimely on 23 June 1953 while under house arrest under mysterious circumstances. After the outrage over the death of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the Nehru government abolished the permit system implemented in Jammu and Kashmir. But Article 370 and 35A continued. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled the dream of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee by abolishing Article 370 and 35A. During this, the workers took inspiration from the personality and works of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee and took a pledge to contribute to strengthen the Bharatiya Janata Party and to make India a world guru by taking forward the ideas of PM Modi.
