Wreckage of missing Russian plane found on beach, all 28 people on board killed

Part of his plane, which went missing in the far eastern region of Kamchatka, was found on the Okhotsk beach, five kilometers from the runway of the airport where the plane was supposed to land. An Antonov An-26 aircraft with 22 passengers and six crew members flying from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky to the city of Palana went out of radar and lost contact before landing. Kamchatka Governor Vladimir Solodov told Interfax news agency that the main part of the plane was found on the beach, while the rest of the broken part was found in the sea near the shore. According to Russian media reports, none of the 28 people on board the plane survived the crash. The aircraft belonged to the Kamchatka Aviation Enterprise Company.
