signs of change
Through expansion, PM Modi will make a big change in his team. Sources say that the departure of at least half a dozen cabinet ministers is set. Apart from this, the team of 8 to 10 ministers of state may also have to be out of Modi. Among them, Thawar Chand Gehlot has been made the Governor of Karnataka on Tuesday itself. Apart from this, PM Modi is not satisfied with the performance of one minister each from the states of Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and South. Sources say that apart from this, changes in the department of a dozen ministers are also almost certain. 20-22 new ministers will get place in the expansion.
PM’s important meeting today
PM will hold a meeting with party president JP Nadda, Amit Shah and some other senior leaders on Wednesday. In this meeting, the final outline of the expansion will be prepared. In this meeting, Shah will keep the details of talks with allies. While Nadda will put the matter related to the party before the PM. In this meeting a list of possible faces will be prepared.
Nitish doing dialogue through RCP
Nitish Kumar has appointed the party’s national president RCP Singh for talks on behalf of JDU on expansion. Singh will hold discussions with Shah late on Tuesday. JDU sources say that four posts (two cabinet and two state ministers) have been sought from it. If this is agreed, then Lalan Singh, Ramnath Thakur, Santosh Kushwaha and Chandreshwar Prasad will become ministers. BJP had proposed two posts to JDU. However, JDU says that BJP has 17 and 16 MPs in Bihar. In such a situation, when five ministers have been made from BJP quota, then JDU should get at least four seats.
Chirag warned to go to court
LJP Parliamentary Board Chairman Chirag Paswan has staked his claim for the ministerial post amid discussions on the expansion. In a letter to PM Modi, he has said that LJP is a part of NDA at the Centre. If someone has to be made a minister from LJP quota, then I am its only MP. He requested the PM not to make Pashupati Paras a minister from LJP quota. He said that we have no objection if he has to be made a minister as an independent MP. However, if the minister is made from LJP quota, we will approach the court.
