Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Corporation administration accused of harassing traders unnecessarily

The Municipal Industries Trade Federation has accused the municipal administration of harassing unnecessary traders. Federation members demanded to take the side of the traders before taking action on the encroachment. On Tuesday, members of the Municipal Industry Trade Federation Rishikesh met the Municipal Commissioner in the Municipal Corporation. Federation President Rajesh Bhatt said that the municipal administration should not harass the traders without any reason. If someone commits encroachment, then the traders’ side should be taken first and action should not be taken unilaterally. The trader himself will cooperate with the municipal administration in every way. Said that no trader should be misbehaved during the proceedings. General Secretary Akhilesh Mittal said that encroachment is a big problem of the city. Traders themselves want to be free from encroachment. But the municipal administration must inform the traders and take their side before taking action against the encroachment. The Chief Municipal Commissioner said that soon a team would be formed to deal with the encroachment. The team will visit the market 3-4 times in a week. If there is encroachment, then the cooperation of the traders will be appealed for action.
