Uttarakhand / Chamoli : Villagers undertook a massive plantation drive
Villagers carried out a massive plantation drive in Langasu village on Saturday. During this, hundreds of fruit, fodder species and medicinal plants were planted on the land around the village. Also, for the protection of the plants, a resolution was taken as the witness of the local deities. On the initiative of Manoj Sati, working in the field of environmental protection, the villagers planted medicinal plants including Quiral, Banj, Fadiat, Bhimal, Kafal, Amla and fruitful Kachnar, Guava etc. in Langasu Forest Panchayat. Sati told that more than a hundred pits were prepared by the villagers for plantation. During this, Nandprayag Range Forest Inspector Vijay Negi, Van Panchayat Sarpanch Bina Sati, Prakash Dimri, Meena Simalti, Rohit Maikhuri, Munni Nagwal, Renu Kandari, Piyush, Anita Dimri, Umesh, Basu etc. were included.
Former CM Tirath has praised Sati
Teacher Manoj Sati working in the field of environment has been appreciated by former CM Tirath Singh Rawat as CM on social media. Tirath congratulated Sati for working in the field of education as well as environment. Sati has done the work of conserving rain water by making chawl skins around the village.
