Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Demonstration in SDM court regarding bad-damaged roads
Angry youths protested in front of the SDM court on Saturday due to the poor condition of the roads. During this, a memorandum was sent to the CM through City Magistrate Richa Singh demanding to make the roads pothole free. In Indira Nagar, Vanbhulpura, Shani Bazar Road and its adjoining areas, the youth raised slogans against the state government over the deteriorating condition of the roads. Said that the roads in many areas in the city have been damaged for a long time. Many times social organizations and public representatives told the concerned departments about their repair. But till date no louse will crawl in anyone’s ear. Accidents have increased due to bad roads. Pedestrians are very upset. During the rainy season, the traffic is also getting affected due to water logging on the road. Said that if no proper action is taken in this regard at the earliest, then a mass movement would be started. Among those who protested were District General Secretary of Youth Congress Mohammad Arbaaz, Samrul Islam, Hemant Sahu, Farman Ali, Sagir Ahmed, Sonu Ansari, Mohammad Aman, Azim, Farman Siddiqui, Faizan, Shanu, Ravi Negi, Faisal etc.
