Maruti Suzuki hikes prices of its CNG cars
Country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India said it has increased the prices of the CNG variant of Swift and other models by up to Rs 15,000. Maruti Suzuki India told the stock exchange that the price of Swift and all other CNG variants has been hiked due to rising raw material cost. The company said that the showroom price of the above models in Delhi has increased by up to Rs 15,000. The new prices are effective from today i.e. 12th July 2021. Before the price hike, Swift was available for Rs. 5.73 lakh to Rs. 8.27 lakh. This is the showroom price in Delhi. Maruti Suzuki sells CNG variants in several of its models including Alto, Celerio, S-Presso, WagonR, Eeco and Ertiga, with prices ranging from Rs 4.43 lakh to Rs 9.36 lakh. In April this year, the company had increased the prices of most of its models by up to Rs 22,500, except the Celerio and Swift.
