Uttarakhand CM Dhami participated in tree donation program organized on Harela festival
For the protection of nature, everyone will have to take a pledge to plant trees: CM
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in a tree donation program organized on the Harela festival at a local Wedding Point located on Haridwar Road, Dehradun. On this occasion, he gave trees to the MLAs and other dignitaries for tree plantation and asked people to motivate them to plant more and more trees. The Chief Minister said that Harela festival is celebrated in Uttarakhand on 16th July. Harela festival is celebrated in Uttarakhand for the purpose of conservation of nature. He said that everyone will have to take a pledge to plant trees on the occasion of Harela festival for the protection of nature. The time of July and August is the best time for plantation. We have to promote our traditions and environment. The Chief Minister said that today science is progressing rapidly, along with scientific progress, we have to move faster in the direction of environmental protection. Commendable efforts have been made in this direction under Namami Gange. Former Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat said that environmental balance is very important. Everyone will have to discharge their responsibilities by planting trees on a large scale. We have to pay attention to more plantation of Peepal and Banyan. MLAs Shri Vinod Chamoli, Shri Munna Singh Chouhan, Shri Sahdev Singh Pundir, Shri Khajandas, Mayor Shri Sunil Uniyal Gama, District Panchayat President of Dehradun Smt. Madhu Chauhan, BJP Metropolitan President Shri Sitaram Bhatt were present on this occasion.
