In Rishikesh, illegal drug sellers are active. On Wednesday, the students have raised a demand for action from Rishikesh Kotwal regarding this. Warned that if the ban is not stopped, there will be agitation. On Wednesday, the student leaders of Rishikesh met Kotwal SS Negi on reaching Kotwali and submitted a memorandum. Student leaders said that illegal drugs are being sold in Rishikesh. Rishikesh is a Dharmanagari and selling any kind of intoxicating goods including liquor is prohibited here. Despite this, drugs are being sold by the mafia. On protesting, people are being misbehaved and beaten up by the liquor mafia. Despite the ban, liquor is being served openly to the people in Gangaghat, hotels, restaurants. Due to this the image of Rishikesh is getting tarnished. He demanded a complete ban on this.
