On the occasion of Harela festival, with the efforts of Team Jeevan, a large scale plantation was done at Govindghat in association with educational institutions and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in collaboration with Govind Ghat Committee. During this, all the students took a pledge to plant saplings for environmental protection. During this, Neem, Giloy saplings were distributed by Patanjali. On Friday, on the Harela festival, on the banks of the Ganges, Govind Ghat, the patron of team life and former Haridwar mayor Manoj Garg, with the help of many organizations, planted shade and fruit trees and distributed them to everyone. After planting saplings, a seminar was also organized at Govind Ghat. Keeping this in mind, the RSS’s department pracharak Sharad said that the Sangh is working for environmental protection all over the country, following which the members of Team Jeevan are working to take this campaign forward. DPS Principal Dr. Anupam Jagga and DAV Principal Manoj Kapil said that if one student works under one sapling campaign, there will never be any imbalance in the environment. Appreciating the work of vaccination, awareness and environmental protection of Team Jeevan, he said that if every person works to create greenery around him in his life, then the environment will always be green. Manoj Garg, the patron of Team Life and the first mayor, said that education is necessary for building a strong India. Similarly, knowledge of religion and environment is also necessary. For this, from an early age, children will have to inculcate attraction towards plants by telling them the importance of greenery. Sandeep Chaudhary, Director, HEC PG College said that today work is being done to create imbalance in the environment by cutting down the forests for the sake of materiality, eliminating the greenery, which are harmful to the health of the coming generations. The result of this has been suffered by the public during the spread of corona infection, so it is necessary that twice as many trees should be planted than the number of trees cut. Hotel Association President Ashutosh Sharma said that greenery is important for life. Ratnesh Gautam, Bhaskar Auli from Patanjali distributed Neem and Giloy plants, explaining the usefulness of medicinal plants.
