The traders of New Haridwar Chandraacharya Chowk Vyapar Mandal protested against the poor functioning of the Public Works Department and expressed their anger. During the protest, Vyapar Mandal President Mridul Kaushik said that due to the negligence of the department, the traders are facing problems for a long time due to incomplete works in the area. For more than two years, the roads in front of commercial establishments between Chandraacharya Chowk to Bhagat Singh Chowk are in broken and dilapidated condition. Despite the availability of the budget, the works are hanging in the balance due to the apathy of the Public Works Department officials. Vice President Anup Singh Sidhu said that there is a lot of problem of parking in the area. Due to the broken roads on it, the traders and the customers coming here have to face a lot of problems. Due to which the business of traders is also affected. General Secretary Deepak Aggarwal said that despite several complaints to the Public Works Department officials, both verbally and in writing, no attention is being paid to the problem due to the poor working style of the department. Due to which the trader is very angry. Treasurer Sunil Gulati said that accidents happen in the area every day due to broken roads. Due to the broken roads in the rainy season, the elderly and children have to face a lot of problems in coming to the market. All the traders decided that if within ten days the work is not started by the Public Works Department to rectify the problem, then the traders will be forced to gherao the officials and demonstrate fiercely. The entire responsibility of which will be with the Public Works Department. Munish Garg, Rahul Agarwal, Bablu Singh, Sudhir Gupta, Satnam Bhatia, Haider Naqvi, Nitin Sharma, Surendra Agarwal, Pankaj Arora, Yogesh Wadhwa, Vimal Malhotra, Prem Thapa, Sanjeev Sharma, Sanjay Divedi, Vikram Singh Sidhu, Other traders were involved.
