Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Indralok Vihar Committee protested against illegal bus stand

The people of Indralok Vihar located on Haridwar Bypass Road have intensified their protest against the illegally running bus stand. On Sunday, angry people demonstrated against the company running the bus stand at the main gate of the colony. Warned that until they do not get written assurance about the removal of the bus stand, they will continue the protest. Under the leadership of Rahul Negi, President of Indralok Vihar Committee, people reached the main gate of the colony. Protested against the bus stand here by raising slogans. Angry people said that the bus stand is being operated illegally for four years in the colony. Complaints have been made several times to the police and transport department officials. The Transport Department has challaned the company for one lakh rupees, but still the company’s office is running inside the colony. Said that due to the operation of the bus stand, people are facing problems in commuting in the colony. With the installation of buses on the road, even small vehicles of the people of the colony become impossible to move. Said that the protest will continue till written assurance is not received regarding the removal of the bus stand. It was also said that due to the bus stand, other commercial activities have started increasing within the colony, which is spoiling the atmosphere. Secretaries Yuvraj Giri, Ramesh Chamoli, Ajay Sharma, Akbar, Jeevan Shahu, VR Kanswal, Ayush Agarwal, KC Tiwari, Yogesh Kushwah, Saurabh Bonthiyal, Sanjay Rana etc. were present among those who performed.
