IBM implements FlashSystem storage system for data security

IBM has announced the new FlashSystem Storage Advance Security feature. This new FlashSystem storage, which works on All Flash Array technology, will protect companies from dangerous viruses and cyber attacks like ransomware. SafeGuarded Copy Automatically copies data into immutable snapshots that are securely isolated within the system and cannot be accessed or altered by unauthorized users.

In the event of a data leak, data breach, malicious activity or any other event that compromises the data, the company said in a statement. or interrupts operations, customers can recover their data from snapshots based on known points prior to the breach.

Dennis Kennelly, general manager of IBM Storage, said that resiliency to protect against ransomware and other types of malware requires a two-pronged approach, which includes automated protection and rapid retrieval.
