Rain intensity likely to decrease in North-West India from today: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Wednesday that the intensity of rain is likely to decrease over north-west India. Its intensity and spread is likely to decrease from Thursday. IMD said, during the next 24 hours, very widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls is very likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and North-West Madhya Pradesh. Thereafter, the intensity of rainfall will decrease further and thereafter spread over Northwest India.
Delhi-NCR has been receiving heavy rains for the last two days. Safdarjung recorded 60.3 mm of rain while Lodhi Road recorded 58.6 mm of rain during the 24 hours ended at 8.30 am on Wednesday. Palam also received 38.7 mm of rain.
