Madhya Pradesh : Schools will open from July 26, orders issued by the government
Life is returning to normal after the decrease in corona cases across the country. In this sequence, preparations for the opening of schools have intensified. Classes and hostels of 11th and 12th will be opened in schools in Madhya Pradesh from July 26. Classes of class 9th and 10th will be started from August 5. The Chief Minister said that all the schools would start with 50 percent attendance. Students will be able to come to school 2 days a week in the month of July and 4 days a week in the month of August. The Crisis Management Group will be able to take a decision regarding the opening of the school according to the local conditions. Separate SOP is being issued to adopt COVID-19 friendly behavior in schools and hostels. The Chief Minister said that coaching centers for class 12th would be opened with 50 percent capacity from August 5. Continuous monitoring will be done by Crisis Management Group and local administration. All coaching centers will be required to follow the COVID-19 guidelines. He said that the new academic session would start from September 1 in the colleges of the state. Presently the examinations are being conducted through open book mode. According to local conditions, offline classes will be conducted in colleges with 50 percent capacity.
The Chief Minister directed that all the teachers and employees of schools and colleges should be vaccinated for 100 percent by running a campaign. With this, more and more students should be vaccinated.
Similarly, keeping in mind the relief from Corona in Odisha, a decision has been taken to reopen the school. The Odisha government said that in view of the inconvenience caused to students during online classes due to poor network in rural and remote areas, schools will be reopened for class X and XII students from July 26. Satyabrata Sahu, Principal Secretary, School and Mass Education, Odisha, said, “We have been able to reach only 40 per cent of the total students through online teaching, while the other 60 per cent are still left behind. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, school students in the state have lost 150 days of classroom teaching.
