The agitating energy corporation workers have announced to go on an indefinite strike from July 27 over the pending demands. A Satyagraha rally will be taken out at the headquarters of UJVN on Monday. On Saturday, to make the Satyagraha rally and strike successful, a gate meeting was held at the Chila Power House of Electricity Officer Employees United Sangharsh Morcha. Sangharsh Morcha Patron Arvind Bahuguna said that for the last four years, he has been in talks with the government-administration regarding the implementation of the old system of ACP, regularization of personnel working through the sub-panel, equal pay for equal work. The earlier agreement signed on 22 December 2017 has not been implemented till date. Earlier, personnel organizations had postponed the strike on May 27 in view of the assurance of the Chief Minister and public interest due to Kovid. But even after the passage of one and a half months, the government and the Energy Corporation have not held any talks yet. Sangharsh Morcha Chilla President Surya Prakash Purohit has alleged that the government is ignoring the demands of the employees. This will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
