In Silla Brahmangaon, Guldar made a one and a half year old girl sitting in the courtyard a morsel. The body of the girl has not yet been recovered. The family members are in shock due to the incident while there is panic in the village. Here, the forest department team reached the village on Sunday. After meeting the relatives, intensive search was done in the village. While two hunters have also been called while setting up a cage in the village. According to the information, one and a half year old daughter of Pramod Kumar was playing in the courtyard in Jabar Tok of Silla Brahmingaon of Agastyamuni block at around 8.30 pm on Saturday night when Guldar, who was ambushed, picked up the innocent from the house itself. After pressing the little one in his mouth, Guldar ran towards the forest. Meanwhile, on hearing the screaming of the girl, the family members and the people of the village ran after the guldar. Even after making noise, Guldar did not leave the little girl. Holding it in the mouth, he dragged it far enough away. Local resident and Kshetra Panchayat member Sawan Negi immediately informed the forest department about the incident. At the same time, blood stains and pieces of flesh of innocent have been found at some places during the incident. Ranger Rajneesh Lohani of North Jakholi Range of Rudraprayag Forest Department reached the spot along with the team at around 10.15 pm. The search was done till late night, but no trace could be found. Here, on Sunday, Ranger and other departmental staff led by in-charge DFO Jeevan Mohan Dagde reached the spot and the search for the innocent girl was started from morning itself. Along with this, action was also taken at the departmental level to declare Guldar as a man-eater, on which approval was also received from the headquarters in the afternoon. On the request of the department, two other hunters including hunter Joy Hookil have reached the spot. Intensive search is being done within a radius of two km from the spot. Haven’t found any clues yet. Let us inform that on Friday, Manju Devi, a resident of Jhatgarh Tok of the same village, was also attacked and injured by Guldar while taking grass. Somehow the woman saved her life while facing Guldar with a sickle.
