Gold shines by Rs 112

The gold in the yellow metal overseas also rose sharply at the domestic level, while silver remained almost stagnant.

In the MCX futures market, gold rose by Rs 112, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 47,573 per 10 grams. Gold Mini also rose by Rs 93 to Rs 47,548 per 10 grams.
Silver gained marginally by Rs 8, or 0.01 per cent, to Rs 67,129 per kg, while Silver Mini lost Rs 54 and was quoted at Rs 67,311 per kg.

In the international market, spot gold became costlier by $ 4.45 to $ 1,802.05 an ounce. At the same time, US gold futures for August fell by $ 1.30 to $ 1,797.90 an ounce.
