Indian players are striving hard for the second medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020. Although success has not been achieved yet, but both hope and efforts are on. Today archer Deepika Kumari has reached the last 16. She defeated Karma of Bhutan in the round of 32 match. Deepika won this match 6-0. On the other hand, Praveen Jadhav, who performed brilliantly in the round of 32, flopped in the last 16. He lost 0-6 to world number one archer Brady Ellison of America. Jadhav scored 27 in the first set, 26 in the second set and 23 in the third. While Alison managed to score 28 in the first set, 27 in the second and 26 in the third. Earlier this morning, Indian women’s star shuttler PV Sindhu defeated Cheung Gan Yi of Hong Kong 2-0 in a one-sided fashion in the group stage match of the badminton women’s singles event. Sindhu defeated Cheung 21-9, 21-16 in a match that lasted 35 minutes. With this Sindhu won both her matches of the group stage. Sindhu has ensured a place in the knockout stage after this win. Earlier, Sindhu defeated Polikarpova Ksenia of Israel 21-7, 21-10 in her first group match.
