PM Modi announces Rs 2 lakh compensation for the families of Barabanki accident victims

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each from PMNRF to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic accident in Barabanki on Wednesday morning. 50-50 thousand will be given to the injured.

The Prime Minister also spoke to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to know about the road accident in which 18 people were killed.

The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister have expressed their condolences to the families of the deceased.

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi said that the Chief Minister has directed the concerned officers to provide best medical facilities to the injured and make arrangements for transportation of the passengers to their destinations.

At least 18 people were killed when a truck collided with a double-decker bus on the Lucknow-Ayodhya National Highway under Ram Sanehighat police station area on Wednesday morning.

Fifteen people have been seriously injured and have been referred to Trauma Center in Lucknow.
