Team players applaud Rahul on his return to the dressing room

India opener Lokesh Rahul has been praised by the team players for returning to the dressing room after the end of the first day’s play against England. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a 54-second video on Twitter showing Rahul walking into the dressing room after scoring an unbeaten 127.

The caption of the video read, ‘Scene of Rahul coming back to the dressing room after scoring 127 runs.

It is seen in the video that the Indian team is giving standing ovation to Rahul from the balcony of the pavilion. After the stumps, Rahul was first welcomed by Rohit Sharma who had scored 83 runs and shared an opening partnership of 126 runs with Rahul.

Mayank Aggarwal hugged him while going to the dressing room. This was followed by head coach Ravi Shastri, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammad Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and others applauding Rahul’s innings.
