Nadda pays tribute to Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Jagat Prakash Nadda has paid tribute to the legendary hockey player Late Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary. On Sunday, Shri Nadda tweeted and said, “Humping tributes to the hockey magician Major Dhyan Chand Ji, who made India proud all over the world by winning three gold medals in Olympic Games, honored with Padma Bhushan.

He said that warm greetings to all sports lovers on the occasion of National Sports Day being celebrated in the honor of Shri Dhyan Chand.

Shri Dhyan Chand, who is called the magician of hockey, was born on 29 August 1905 in Allahabad. In his career in the game of hockey from 1926 to 1949, he won the country’s Olympic gold medals in 1928, 1932 and 1936. Shri Dhyan Chand’s birthday is celebrated as National Sports Day in the country and sportspersons who have made remarkable contribution in the field of sports are decorated with awards.
