The ban on scheduled international flights extended till 30 September

Fear of the third wave of corona

The fear of a third wave of corona is increasing. New cases are increasing very fast and more than 45 thousand cases are being reported daily. In view of the current situation, the central government has announced to increase the ban on scheduled international commercial flights. This ban on commercial flights has been extended till 30 September. This information has been shared by DGCA on Sunday.

Earlier, DGCA had suspended scheduled international flight service to and from India till August 31. Now it has been extended by one month to 30 September. This rule will not apply to international cargo flights. Apart from this, if a flight has got special approval from DGCA, then this rule will not be applicable there too.

In March 2020, for the first time, the government imposed a 21-day lockdown across the country. During that time all the services including trains, planes remained closed for about two months. Flight service was resumed from May. In this, only domestic air service was allowed and international flight is still banned. During this time, air connectivity with the air bubble between the two countries continues.
