Delhi government will set up 7 new hospitals in six months, 6800 new ICU beds will be arranged

Delhi government is going to build 7 new hospitals in 6 months. 6836 ICU beds will be arranged in these hospitals. The cabinet chaired by CM Arvind Kejriwal has approved the proposal. New hospitals will be built at Sarita Vihar, Shalimar Bagh, Sultanpuri, Kirari, Raghubir Nagar, GTB Hospital and Chacha Nehru Children’s Hospital.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that there are about 10 thousand ICU beds in Delhi’s government hospitals. After the creation of 6800 beds in the new hospitals, the capacity of ICU beds will increase by about 70 percent. If there is a third wave of corona, then it will help in the treatment of people at that time. If the wave of Corona does not come, then 7000 new beds will be ready for the people of Delhi permanently. At the same time, Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that 6836 new beds will be made by the Kejriwal government in 7 new hospitals at a cost of 1216.72 crores.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that ICU beds will be ready within 6 months. If there is a wave of corona, then it will help people in treatment and if the wave of corona does not come, then about 7000 new beds will be ready for the people of Delhi permanently.

Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that for the speedy construction of hospitals, buildings of multi-storey hospitals will be made in the form of hollow ‘mild steel’ square or rectangular tube steel structures. These structures will have concrete cement rafts or separate foundations, which will provide the strength of the building. The hospitals will be constructed by the PWD.

A hospital will be built on 7.95 acres by the government in Shalimar Bagh. A 1430 ICU bed hospital will be built here. At present, three floors will be built here and if needed, two floors can be built above. At the same time, a hospital of 458 ICU beds will be built on 2.71 acres in Kirari. A hospital of 1912 ICU beds will be ready in 6.02 acres in GTB Hospital Campus.
At the same time, 1565 ICU bed hospital will be built in 9 acres in Raghuveer Nagar.

Similarly, a hospital of 610 ICU beds will be built in 2.32 acres in CNBC. In Sultanpuri, a hospital of 525 ICU beds will be built in 10 thousand square meters. These hospitals will have all facilities including emergency, OPD, ward. Apart from this, PSA and oxygen tank will also be arranged. With this, the patients will not face any kind of problem in these hospitals.
