An advisory has been issued to prevent the spread of a disease called scrub typhus. It has been reported that scrub typhus is a disease caused by Rickettsia susugumusii bacteria which is transmitted by the bite of equine bedbug, flea blood-sucking insect. After the bite, it makes a red circle where the bite mark and a few days after the bite, the person starts getting sick.
its symptoms :-
- Sudden chills with fever, Cough, Abdominal pain, Vomiting, Headache, Body pain, Swelling of lymph glands, Mental confusion, Encephalitis, Decrease in plates, Bites
- In the place of dark black and red kheer mark (Ishchar) to be formed. In severe cases, there is a problem of dysfunction of more organs, pneumonia, shortness of breath, sudden drop in blood pressure and kidney failure, and in such circumstances the mortality rate (case fatality rate) is up to 10 percent. it occurs.
The Treatment is
Scrub typhus can be cured quickly after the use of fever-reducing drugs in case of fever and after the use of antibiotics as per the advice of the doctor. The main use of doxycycline and azithromycin is the first line of choice for the treatment of scrub typhus. Therefore, if the above symptoms appear, without laxity, treatment should be taken immediately with the advice of a doctor in the nearest health center.
Take measures to prevent
The vaccine for the said scrub typhus has not been invented. To avoid scrub typhus, do everything possible not to come into contact with infected bedbugs, fleas. While traveling, if you are traveling to a place where scrub typhus has been confirmed to spread, then you should not go to areas with excessive vegetation and avoid going to areas with bushes. Farmers working in the fields should adopt necessary measures to control rodents like rats etc. Farmers working in the fields should use slippers and shoes and by adopting physical hygiene, avoid sticking to the body of bedbugs, fleas and blood-sucking insects. Do not leave food and drink residues while working in the fields so as not to attract the carrier animals of scrub typhus like rats, squirrels, mongoose, coverbeck. After working in high vegetation areas and bushes, bathe properly and wash clothes properly. Keep a safe distance from wild animals that can be carriers of typhus such as rats, squirrels, nebulas, pigeons.
