Uttar Pradesh / Banda : Two convicts for raping a teenager were jailed for 10 years
A court in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh has sentenced two youths to 10 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 each on two youths found guilty of raping a 14-year-old girl. The Special Public Prosecutor said on Saturday that after hearing the arguments of the prosecution and defense advocates, the Special Judge of the Additional District and Sessions Court (Quick First) lured and raped a 14-year-old girl. On Friday, Balram and Chhatrapal Singh, who were found guilty of cheating, were sentenced to 10 years in jail and fined Rs 30,000 each. He said that the incident happened on August 7, 2012. Both the convicts had taken the minor to Surat city and raped her several times. Police were able to recover the girl after eight months and on medical examination it was found that she was pregnant. Mishra said that the court ordered to pay Rs 50,000 to the victim from the amount of fine to be recovered from the culprits.
