Vinod Kumar, a resident of Sitapur, has demanded strict action against the culprits, accusing the police of not arresting the accused despite the registration of the case. Talking to reporters at the Press Club, Vinod Kumar alleged that he and his wife run a garments and cosmetics shop on Sitapur Road. Six months ago, the shop owner and some other people, including women, forcibly entered the shop, ransacked and took away the goods kept in the shop. His wife was also assaulted. Despite complaining to the police, no action was taken against the accused. A month later, after pleading with higher officials, the police registered a case. But none of the accused has been arrested so far. Vinod Kumar said that after the registration of the case, the investigating officer has changed three times so far. Despite the orders of the DGP, the accused are not being arrested. On the contrary, they are being pressured to compromise. He told that the owner has forcibly occupied the shop. He has become unemployed due to the goods kept in the shop being in the possession of the owner. Can’t even meet family expenses. The accused should be arrested at the earliest and justice should be given to them.
