About 80 Congress leaders and workers, including former Chief Minister Harish Rawat, were taken into police custody. Leader of Opposition Pritam Singh said, the BJP government at the Center is working with a sense of revenge. Efforts are being made to impose black law on the farmers, for which the farmers have been agitating for a long time. The incident that happened in Lakhimpur Kheri yesterday is shameful and condemnable. The Congress stands with the farmers and will not allow crime to be committed against them, he said. He said this Congress condemns such an incident and will not allow farmers to be oppressed.
