Uttarakhand / Champawat / Demand to connect Champawat district with heli service
The ‘Insaf the Power’ organization has sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister through SDM Himanshu Kafaltia on Monday, demanding to connect Champawat district headquarters and Tanakpur with heli service. He said that this would give a boost to tourism and overall development of the region.
The organization’s president Tilak Ram told that due to landslides during the rainy season, the all-weather road has been closed many times, due to which the public has to face many problems. Apart from this, he said that every year lakhs of people from different states reach here for Purnagiri Darshan. After connecting with Tanakpur and Champawat headquarter heli service, the dream of overall development of the area will be fulfilled. He said that heli service should be started here on the lines of all the helipads in Kumaon. He also called it a better option for army soldiers. Anoop Singh, Devendra, Pushkar Ram, Mohan, Ajay Kumar etc. were among those who gave the memorandum.
