Uttarakhand / Almora : UKD gave the MLA self. Tribute to Jaswant Singh on his death anniversary
UKD had its first MLA, Late. Remembering Jaswant Singh Bisht on his 17th death anniversary. In the program held at UKD district office, tribute was paid remembering his contribution in the formation of the state of Uttarakhand. The speakers called upon the party workers to take a pledge to follow the path shown by them.
The speakers said that Mr. Bisht was not only the first MLA of the party, but for the first time in the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh, he took the resolution of the state of Uttarakhand. Speakers said that they should always be vocal about the demand of the state. Bisht took his own journey from Narayan Swami Ashram in Pithougarh to Arakot in Uttarkashi. Also did a padyatra with Indramani Badoni. Said that the self associated with the family. Bisht completed his political journey from a mill worker to junior chief, senior chief and block chief and becoming an MLA twice in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Many workers including District President Shivraj Banola, Central Vice President Brahmanand Dalakoti, Gopal Mehta, Girishnath Goswami, Bhanuprakash Joshi, Pankaj Chaudhary, Kamlesh Joshi, Mayank Bagdwal were present here.
