Japan will continue talks with Russia to resolve regional issues : Motegi
Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi has said his country will continue talks with Russia to resolve the regional issue under the leadership of new Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Mr. Motegi said, I had the opportunity to meet personally with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during the UN General Assembly session. We discussed various aspects to resolve regional issues and strengthen bilateral relations.
“We have agreed to continue the dialogue with the aim of developing bilateral relations,” he said. We intend to continue dialogue with Russia, aimed at resolving the regional issue.
