Uttar Pradesh / Bulandshahr : Missing BSF jawan’s body found in UP, son arrested
The mutilated body of a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was recovered from a well near his house in Bulandshahr district. The jawan had gone missing about seven months ago.
Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police said that after questioning several people, we started tracking his phone. The strange thing was that on the night of his disappearance (30 March) Rampal’s last place was his home. Even his son’s phone location was at home when he told us that he had left his father in Hapur. This raised doubts about his statements and when questioned, the son confessed to the crime.
57-year-old Rampal Singh had come home on March 29 this year. Before joining duty in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, he took leave to meet his family members. But after that he never returned to his duty.
Jitendra Singh, brother of the deceased lodged a missing complaint of his brother at Augata police station in Bulandshahr. He had expressed suspicion that his sons might be involved in his disappearance.
The SSP said that his sons had also lodged a police complaint on May 29 about their father’s disappearance. Since then we are probing the matter.
The son told during interrogation that he and his brother had allegedly killed their father and dumped the body in the well. He suspected that the father had an evil eye on his elder daughter-in-law.
After which the police arrested the younger son and his friend.
