Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Ex-soldier shot his wife with two bullets, then killed herself

After a former soldier shot his wife in Bhogpur near Itharna Marg Gram Sabha Rakhwal under Ranipokhari police station, the soldier shot himself with a licensed double gun. Due to which both the wife of the former soldier and the soldier died. After the incident, sensation spread in the entire area. The incident is said to have happened around 9 am on Thursday. The forensic team also reached the spot and closely inspected the spot and the surrounding area.
CO Rishikesh DC Dhoundiyal told that the deceased was retired from the army with the rank of Arnery Captain. The deceased were identified as Brijesh Krishali alias Briji (58) and his wife’s name as Kusum Krishali (55). The former soldier shot his wife first and then shot himself. There is no such thing as home tribulation. During interrogation, it has been found that he was missing for several days. The police took the action of Panchayat Nama by taking the bodies of both of them in possession.
Neighbors thought the firecrackers went off
Sujit Singh, a resident of Rakhwal village, said that he was working in his fields when he heard the sound of firecrackers. On which he understood that someone had lit firecrackers to drive away the monkeys, but after some time, after hearing the sound of crying, he ran towards the spot where after seeing the scene, he immediately called 108 emergency service, after which he called the police station Ranipokhari. Reported the matter to the police. After which the police and 108 services reached the spot. The dead body of the former soldier was lying in the bed of the house and the body of wife Kusum Krishali was lying in the courtyard. One bullet was fired in the throat and one in the stomach of Kusum Krishali. While Brijesh died due to a bullet in the neck.
Former soldier used to run stationery shop in Bhogpur
Retired soldier Brijesh Krishali used to run a stationery shop in Bhogpur by the name of Saraswati Stationery Shop. According to the villagers, there was a very happy family apart from being a very calm person. All the villagers are shocked by such incident. The deceased has two sons, where the eldest son is in the Navy and the second son works in a private company in Mumbai. The daughter-in-law of the deceased, his wife and younger son lived in Rakhwal village.
