Uncontrollable truck rams pedestrians in Mexico, 53 killed, more than 50 injured

A horrific accident occurred late Thursday in southern Mexico. An uncontrollable truck trampled people on a congested road. So far 53 people have died in this accident. At the same time, more than 50 people have been injured. The injured are being admitted to nearby hospitals. The tragic accident happened on the road leading to the state capital of Chiapas. According to the information received, as soon as the goods truck reached the bridge, the driver lost his control. Due to which he collided with the divider while trampling the people walking along the road. It is being told that the death toll may also increase.
Luis Manuel Moreno, head of the Chiapas state civil defense office, said most of the dead and wounded were immigrants from Central America, although their nationality was not yet confirmed. Moreno said some of the survivors said they were from neighboring Guatemala.
Truck fell after hitting a bridge
Moreno said the truck appeared to have overturned due to the heavy weight of the humans and hit a steel foot bridge as the vehicle fell over it. Mexican officials recently prevented migrants from moving in large groups toward the US border, but the secret and illegal flow of migrant smuggling continues.
