2 farmers of Punjab died, 5 injured due to truck collision on NH-9 near Hisar

An accident happened in Hisar, Haryana with the farmers of Punjab returning home after ending the agitation from Delhi’s Singhu and Tikri borders. The truck rammed the farmers’ trolley on NH-9 at around 7 am on Saturday. Farmer Sukhwinder, a resident of Muktsar Sahib, Punjab, died on the spot in this accident near village Dhandur. Ajaypreet, one of the 8 farmers injured in the accident, died in the hospital.
The farmers of Punjab who were returning home after the end of the agitation were passing through NH 9. When the convoy of farmers reached near Bagla Road bend near Dhadur in Hisar, a speeding truck from behind rammed the trolley. The trolley overturned on the spot due to the collision of the truck. In this, Sukhwinder Singh (38), a farmer of Muktsar Sahib, died on the spot.
The injured Ajaypreet (38), Goga (62) and Dara Singh (55) were admitted to the Chudamani Hospital, Hisar. Ajaypreet, another farmer, also died during treatment here. Moga Singh, a resident of Ashabuttar district of Muktsar district, who accompanied him, told that everyone had left the Tikri border at night. He had attached 2 trolleys behind Swaraj tractor. On the way, the truck hit the rear trolley, which overturned.
Due to the collision of the truck, the axle of the rear trolley broke and it entered the front trolley. Due to this 8 farmers sleeping in the next trolley got injured. The collision of the truck was so strong that the tractor also hit the grill on the side of the highway. The injured farmers are being treated. Except one, the condition of the rest is normal.
