Uttarakhand : Daughters immersed CDS Bipin Rawat and his wife’s ashes in Ganga

The ashes of late CDS General Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika Rawat were immersed in the Ganges today. The ashes were flown into the Ganges with full legal and military honors at the VIP Ghat of Haridwar. Kritika and Tarini, both daughters of General Bipin Rawat, immersed their parents’ ashes in the Ganges and prayed for salvation for their souls. Teerth priest Aditya Vashisht and Parikshit Sikhola performed the process of bone immersion. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt also reached to attend the bone immersion. CDS Bipin Rawat and his wife and other army officers died suddenly in a helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu on December 8. At around 11.30 in the morning, the family members reached the ghat with the ashes. During this, the last salute was given by the army. Army bands and troops were also present at the VIP Ghat. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the VIP Ghat and met both the daughters of CDS Rawat and then left.
