Maruti Suzuki WagonR Electric to be launched in India! claimed in the report

According to the report of The Hindu, Maruti Suzuki India is in the process of introducing an electric version of the WagonR in India. Let us tell you that the company had announced about EV in 2018 but till now the company has not launched any EV. According to the latest report, Maruti Suzuki India may bring its first EV car in India by 2025 in the form of Wagon R.

The company’s first EV will come by 2025

As per the report, a company spokesperson said, “We have announced that we will launch the EV by 2025. Development and testing for this prototype is going on as per schedule. Meanwhile, Suzuki’s joint with Toshiba and Denso in Gujarat India’s first Lithium-Ion cell manufacturing plant has been commissioned with an investment of Rs 1,200 crore in the venture. Trial production is underway.”

Price

The major concern of the company is to fix the price of the EV. It is feared that the price of the EV could be close to or more than Rs 10-12 lakh. Let us tell you that Tata Tigor EV is currently available in the market for Rs 12 lakh and Tata Nexon EV is available for about Rs 14 lakh.
