Ganga Expressway is said to be the longest expressway of Uttar Pradesh. Its length will be 594 km. Ganga Expressway will pass through 12 districts of UP from Meerut to Prayagraj. This expressway will connect the eastern and western regions of UP. This expressway will start from Bijauli village of Meerut on Meerut-Bulandshahr road (NH-334) and will end near Judapur Dandu village on Prayagraj bypass (NH-19).

Expressway will pass through these 12 districts
Its construction will cost more than Rs 36,200 crore. The expressway will also have a 3.5 km runway to assist in emergency take-off and landing of Air Force aircraft.
This expressway will pass through 12 districts of Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. This expressway will be of 6 lanes, which can be increased to 8 lanes later. So far, about 94 percent of the land has been acquired for this expressway.
About 140 river/stream/canal/nala, are involved in this expressway project. Apart from this, 07 overbridges, 14 major bridges, 126 minor bridges, 28 flyovers and 946 culverts are proposed to be constructed on this expressway.
Employment opportunities will also be created by the construction of this expressway. According to estimates, during the construction of this expressway project about 12 thousand persons will be employed temporarily while the construction of toll plaza will provide permanent jobs to about 100 persons.

▪️Will be helpful as industrial corridor to connect production units, development centers and agricultural production centers areas with the national capital
▪️Opportunities will be made available for teaching, training and establishment of medical institutions.
▪️The expressway will play an important role in the establishment of food processing units, warehousing, agricultural markets and milk based industries.
PM Modi to visit UP on 21st, 23rd and 28th December
Prime Minister Modi will be on a tour of Uttar Pradesh from today to December 28. PM Modi will visit Prayagraj on 21st December. Prime Minister Modi will attend a program in Prayagraj. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that the Ganga Expressway project was started by BSP chief and former Uttar Pradesh CM Mayawati.
