SP President Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav and one of her daughters have been found corona infected. He has isolated himself at home. Dimple Yadav’s sample was tested in a private lab.
Akhilesh Yadav also turned positive during the second wave. However, after taking some precautions, his report came negative. The number of corona infected in the state is increasing once again.
According to the claims of the government, a total of 21 infected have been confirmed in the investigation of 01 lakh 84 thousand 494 samples in the last 24 hours. In the same period, 14 people were treated and became corona free. Today, the total number of active Kovid cases in the state is 216, while 16 lakh 87 thousand 633 patients have defeated Corona.
Uttar Pradesh Testing and Immunization ranks first in the country by conducting more than 18 crore 88 lakh covid vaccinations and more than 09 crore 12 lakh tests in the state. Here more than 06 crore 56 lakh 60 thousand people have been provided with the security cover of Kovid by giving both the doses of the vaccine. 12 crore 31 lakh people have received the first dose of the vaccine. Thus, out of the total population of the state eligible for vaccination, 83.55 percent have received both the first and 44.54 percent people.
Now contact tracing of 55 on every infected
Sensing the danger of third wave of corona in the capital Lucknow, the scope of contact tracing will be increased. Now contact tracing of 55 additional people will be done for every new infected. The health department is also expanding the sites of testing to deal with Omicron. Its purpose is to stop the spread of the virus. Till now, contact tracing of 15 to 20 people was done on every infected.
Corona cases have started increasing in the capital for a few days. Most of the newly infected have a travel history. They had returned from some travel or had been in contact with such a person during a week before getting infected. This has increased the risk of spreading the infection. In view of this, the Health Department is now expanding the scope of investigation on every case.
The number of samples daily had reached close to five thousand, which is now being increased to 15 thousand again. According to CMO Dr. Manoj Aggarwal, corona spread can be stopped by doing more and more investigations. People are being appealed to follow the COVID protocol.
