Uttar Pradesh / Moradabad : Recovery was being done in the name of installing reflectors in vehicles, police took big action

In Pakbara police station area, some people were making recovery in the name of putting them in vehicles on Agwanpur bypass, posing as traffic department personnel. For the last four days, seven accused were standing near the Hakimpur railway crossing and cutting the receipt of the truck and recovering three hundred rupees each. At the same time, the truck drivers used to be indecisive for not cutting the receipt. On receiving the complaint of this matter, the SSP sent a police team to the spot. All the accused were arrested.
Babulal is a truck driver, resident of Nathusar village in Panchu police station area of Bikaner district of Rajasthan. He was going from Gonda to Sri Ganganagar in Haryana by loading wood in a truck. At around 11 pm on Saturday night, the people of the bulero stopped near the Hakimpur railway gate. Seven people got down from the Bolero vehicle and introduced themselves as officers of the traffic department. The accused said that the foggy season is going on. In such a situation, by running a campaign on behalf of the department, action is being taken to install reflectors in the vehicles. He said that three hundred rupees would have to be paid for the installation of two reflectors, a receipt for the same would also be given.
After this information, the truck driver took the slip by paying three hundred rupees, but did not install the reflector. No one will stop showing the receipt, he said. When the driver asked for the money back, an argument broke out between the two. The accused assaulted the driver and drove him away from the spot. After walking a little further, the truck driver stopped at the dhaba near Mauda Taiya village and informed the SSP about the matter over the phone. ASP Civil Lines Sagar Jain was dispatched along with the police team on the spot. The ASP, who reached the spot, after confirming the incident, caught all the seven accused.
