Uttarakhand: 18 leaders will not be able to contest elections, Election Commission of India has banned

The Election Commission of India has released the list of 18 leaders of Uttarakhand who have been banned from contesting the upcoming assembly elections. The commission has banned him from contesting till January 7, 2023, for not giving the details of the expenditure of the last election. In view of the upcoming assembly elections, the list of these names has also been sent by the commission to all the returning officers.

Jaiprakash Upadhyay, Madhushah, Gautam Singh Bisht, Vinod Prasad Nautiyal (all Dehradun), Rajendra Singh Bhandari (Pauri), Sunder Dhoni (Bageshwar), Bachi Singh, Mau Ashraf (both Haridwar), Rajendra Singh (Champawat), Rajendra Singh Bisht, Suhail Ahmed, Vinod Sharma, Vinay, Lal Singh, Jitendra Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Bhuvan Joshi (all Pithoragarh).
