Uttarakhand / Ramnagar : Ranjeet will have to leave the seat of Ramnagar for Harish Rawat!
The political stir has intensified as soon as the Congress ticket is finalised. The picture of who will be the contender for the two seats of Ramnagar and Salt will also become clear in a day or two. According to Congress party sources, former CM Harish Rawat has expressed his desire to contest from Ramnagar. At the same time, Ranjit is also adamant to contest from Ramnagar. If Harish comes to Ramnagar, Ranjit may have to leave this battle.
After a long wait, the Congress announced 53 candidates on Saturday night. The cards have not yet opened for Ramnagar and Salt seats. Ranjeet Rawat has been a Congress MLA from Salt. However, in the year 2017, he left the Salt seat and contested from Ramnagar. Then he was considered very close to CM Harish Rawat and mini CM. So he contested the election from Ramnagar as per his wish. Now his path does not seem so easy. The dispute between Ranjit and Harish Rawat has come to the fore some time back.
Ranjeet had made many allegations against Harda including sacrificing monkeys and pigs. If party sources are to be believed, a group of Sanjay Negi, Pushkar Durgapal and BDC members are engaged to contest Harish Rawat from Ramnagar. Harda is also in the mood to contest from Ramnagar. Here, Ranjit does not want to leave this seat. He has been working actively here for five years. Leaving Ramnagar and Salt seat can change the equation. Ranjeet Salt and Harish Rawat can be Congress candidates from Ramnagar. This fog of politics will soon be cleared.
