Bihar : Ruckus at Patna railway station, police lathicharge, angry candidates with railway exam results

In Bihar, agitated over the results of Railway’s RRB NTPC examination, candidates stormed the Patna railway station on Monday. After the results were out, angry students protested by stopping the train for hours. Even after hours of hard work, when the candidates did not agree, the police had to lathi-charge to remove the failed students in the railway examination deposited at Rajendra Nagar in Patna. Angry candidates were protesting since the results of RRB NTPC were out. In this exercise, the protesters demonstrated sitting in front of the train at Patna Rajendra Nagar Terminal.

It is being told that the protesters sat on the railway track for several hours. At the same time, the Railway Police says that no student is ready to talk. It is worth noting that the result of NTPC CBT-1 exam has been released by RRB. Till now results have been released for 15 regions.

After this, the students are getting angry about the result. RRB had conducted the exam for recruitment to 13 posts. In its results, the same candidate has been selected by the board for many posts. In such a situation, because of one candidate, two to three students were out of the race and were denied selection.

Due to the demonstration at Rajendra Nagar Terminal station, the operation of many trains was changed. Many trains had to be canceled and many trains were delayed.

Rajesh Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Railways said that the trains departing from Rajendranagar Terminal/Patna on January 24, whose operations have been canceled:

1.   12309 Rajendra Nagar Terminal – New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express.
2.   12393 Rajendra Nagar Terminal – New Delhi Sampoorn Kranti Express.
3.   13288 Rajendra Nagar Terminal-Durg South Bihar Express.
4.   12352 Rajendra Nagar Terminal-Howrah Express.
5.   13201 Patna- Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express

Trains run from changed route :-

  1. Operationally diverted route of 12367 Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Terminus Vikramshila Express departing from Bhagalpur on 24th January via Kiul-Gaya-Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction.
  2. Operationally changed route of 13402 Danapur-Bhagalpur Intercity Express departing from Danapur on 24th January via Patna-Patliputra-Shahpur Patori-Barauni-Munger.
  3. 18626 Hatia-Purnia Court Express departing from Hatia on 24th January will be diverted to operate via Patna-Patliputra-Shahpur

Patori-Barauni-Mansi. Partial completion/starting train:-

  1. Departing New Delhi on 23rd January and reaching Islampur on 24.01.2022, 20802 New Delhi-Islampur Magadh Express is partially terminated at Patna Junction.
  2. 18623 Islampur-Hatia Express leaving Islampur on 24th January will leave Patna Junction for Ranchi instead of Islampur.
