Rajasthan : Woman sub-inspector accuses 12 people of rape including former BJP leader
A woman sub-inspector posted in Bhilwara, Rajasthan has accused the former BJP leader of raping her several times on the pretext of marriage. In the FIR lodged by the woman, 12 persons, including an additional superintendent of police, PA, bodyguard of the former BJP leader, have been accused.
According to the information, a case of rape has been registered against former BJP leader Bhanwar Singh Palada, husband of the present district head of Ajmer Zilla Parishad and former MLA Sushil Kanwar. Additional superintendent of police Sanjay Gupta’s name is also included in the rape report lodged in Bhilwara’s Pratap Nagar police station.
The victim police sub-inspector alleged that Bhanwar Singh Palada raped her several times from 2018 to 2021 on the pretext of marriage at her residence in Bhilwara police line. The Sub Inspector has also accused Bajrang, Vijay, Manisha, Dheeraj and women constables Rashmi and Shiv Banna along with Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Gupta in the FIR, along with Ravindra, PA Kishanpuri, bodyguard Karan.
Had contacted Palada regarding the 2018 transfer
In the registered case, the woman sub-inspector has said that Palada was approached for transfer in 2018 at the behest of the then Additional Superintendent of Police, Nagaur, Sanjay Gupta. During the assembly elections, Bhanwar Singh Palada had raped her at her residence located at Bhilwara Police Lines. On protesting, he was intimidated by showing revolver. After this, the promise of marriage was also given. After this, raped several times for 3 years.
The victim expressed the possibility of murder
The sub-inspector has said in the report that in April 2021, Bhanwar Singh Palada and others assaulted him in Jodhpur and also threatened to make his photo viral. The victim has also expressed apprehension of her murder. The victim has lodged an FIR at Pratapnagar police station.
SP ordered an inquiry into the matter
In this case, Bhilwara SP Adarsh Sidhu has handed over the investigation of the case to Shahpura Additional Superintendent of Police Chanchal Mishra. Chanchal Mishra had earlier arrested Asharam from Indore and brought him to Jodhpur and Chanchal Mishra is also investigating the case of Raju Fauji, the main accused in the murder of two constables.
Palada rebelled and joined Congress
Let us inform that Sushil Kanwar Palada and her husband Bhanwar Singh Palada had rebelled against the BJP and supported the Congress to contest the election of Ajmer’s district chief. Since then the BJP has expelled both the husband and wife from the party for six years. Bhanwar Singh Palada’s wife Sushil Kanwar Palada has also been an MLA.
