It has been told from the UP Police that, in the interrogation so far, both the accused have told that they were angry with the statement given by MP (Owaisi) against a particular religion. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar told that, yesterday at around 5.20, when MP was returning from Meerut after his meeting, information about the attack on his convoy near Toll was given from his side, after taking immediate action, those who were there were arrested. was done. According to the cameras installed on the toll, two people were involved in the incident. Both were identified and arrested.
The ADG said that both the weapons used in the incident have been found. They are being interrogated, an Alto car has also been recovered. No disturbance of any kind will be allowed in UP. No person is above the law, appropriate action will be taken.
How did the whole incident happen
Let us inform that on Thursday evening, 3 February, Owaisi was returning to Delhi after conducting road shows in Meerut and Kithore, but when his car reached the toll plaza, two youths present there started firing on his car. Owaisi had given information about the attack on himself by tweeting. Here an accused standing in front of the car was hit by the driver of Owaisi’s car, due to which he fell there. After which the police who reached the spot arrested him. On the other hand, the other accused was told that he surrendered himself after going to a police station in Ghaziabad.
