Family background
Harish Rawat was born on 27 April 1948 in Chanaliya of Almora district. His father’s name was Rajendra Singh Rawat and mother’s name was Devaki Devi. His father was a contractor, but he died when Harish Rawat was young. Harish Rawat is the eldest of three brothers. He has been married twice, with whom he has five children. This includes three sons and two daughters.
