If I spoke of opening a Muslim University in Uttarakhand, I would give up my life – Harish Rawat

Ahead of the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand, the matter of ‘opening of Muslim University’ seems to be heating up. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress of appeasement politics. In such a situation, now former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat challenged PM Modi and said that if he would have said so, he would give up his life. Let us inform that Prime Minister Modi addressed the assembly constituencies of Terai like Gadarpur, Jaspur, Khatima, Haldwani, Rudrapur and Nanakmatta while holding a virtual rally in view of the Uttarakhand elections. During this, he surrounded the Congress regarding the Muslim University. He said that such appeasement politics should not happen.
On this allegation of PM Modi, Harish Rawat said that Modi ji only does jumlebaazi. If I or any Congress leader has given a statement to open Muslim University, then I will not only give up politics but also give up my life. BJP only propagates plain lies. We never talked about Muslim University. Harish Rawat said that BJP is raising this false issue in the elections for the politics of polarization. Modi is lying like depositing Rs 15 lakh in every account. But now you will not get votes like this.
Amidst PM Modi’s allegations and Harish Rawat’s replies, BJP state spokesperson Shadab Shams in Pauri district accused the Congress and said that there is a conspiracy to disturb the communal harmony in the spiritual state Devbhoomi. Shams said that Muslim University is an issue promoting the ideology of separatism, it will not be tolerated. Let us inform that PM Modi accused the Congress and said that Congress has committed a sin with the development of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand will never forgive them. Appealing to the general public to vote for the BJP, he said that while voting on 14th February, they should remember the Congress and the sins of the Congress.
