Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Lord Bharat visited the city on Basant Panchami, people took blessings

On the occasion of Basant Panchami, a grand procession of Hrishikesh Narayan Shri Bharat Bhagwan was taken out after duly offering prayers from Shri Bharat temple. In which hundreds of devotees participated.
On Saturday, on the festival of Basant Panchami, a procession of Shri Bharat Bhagwan was organized in the presence of Mahant Vatsal Prapannacharya Sharma of Bharat Mandir. The procession started from the temple premises and reached Triveni Ghat on the banks of Maa Ganga. It is believed that on the day of Basant Panchami, Jagadguru Shankaracharya re-established the idol of Hrishikesh Narayan kept in Mayakund Ganga in Shri Bharat Mandir. Since then, on the day of Basant Panchami, the tradition of bathing in the Ganges is performed in Mayakund with a Doli Yatra to Lord Hrishikesh Narayan Bharat. A Shobha Yatra was organized from Shri Bharat Mandir at one o’clock. After which the girls of poor and corona affected families were also married. Along with this, like every year, a huge Bhandara was organized as the Prasad of Lord Bharat.
